The illustrated Cold Steel Knife is the Cold Steel Safe Keeper II Knife that features a 3 3/4" double edge fixed blade made of Japanese AUS8A stainless steel, 3/16" thick. The black Kray-Ex T handle of this Cold Steel Knife is checkered for secure grip. A Secure-Ex sheath with multiple grommets and lashing slots is included with this Cold Steel knife. The Cold Steel Safe Keeper II Knife has an overall length of 6 3/8", and weighs 3.6 ounces.

The knife is everything it promised to be. It arrived very sharp and blemish free. The polymer (Kydex or similar thermo-plastic) is tough, the molded clip is quite tight and serviceable. It also has eyelets to allow alternate carry/mounting. I'm quite familiar with Cold Steel products and other push-type daggers. This one does not disappoint. Oh, and I found it on Knives Plus for the lowest price anywhere.
Knives of this sort can serve many uses, but they are primarily weapons. They allow much better CQB iuse than do fancier "tactical" knives (my group trained some SWAT guys and proved this). BUT as they ARE weapons, please check your local laws (and maybe get behind some grassroots initiatives to sort out knife laws). Mine rides with me on duty (LEO) and off (depending on what state I visit)
