KA-BAR Knives: KABAR TDI Law Enforcement Knife, Large, KA-1482

The KABAR TDI Law Enforcement Knife was designed by John Benner, founder of Tactical Defense Institute. The illustrated Large KABAR TDI Law Enforcement Knife features a 3 11/16" drop point fixed blade made of AUS8 stainless steel. The blade of this KABAR knife has a non reflective black powder coat, and TDI logo. The TDI Law Enforcement Knife has full tang construction with black Zytel scales. A side to side reversible hard plastic friction fit sheath with nylon straps is included with this KABAR knife. The Large KABAR TDI Law Enforcement Knife has an overall length of 7 9/16", and weighs .4lb.

I've owned the TDI 1493 smaller version for over a year and was my EDC until today when I received the larger 1482 in the mail. I love the shape of the knife. It was paper slicing sharp out of the box. It shipped faster than expected which is always a plus. I'm not much of the Snap Style clasps and ordered the metal belt clip with this. Much better option and should have came that way with the cloth straps and option. I would post a pic or 2 but can't figure out how to add them to my review.

The Ka Bar TDI large came extremely sharp out of the box. Robust and durable construction. Perfect size and ergonomically the best option for me when it comes to self defense.
