The illustrated Boker Knife is the Boker Lock Blade Gent's Knife that features a 2" drop point blade made of Solingen stainless steel. The Rosewood handle of this Boker knife, 2 1/2" closed, has brass liners, a nickel silver bolster, and a lockback.

All Rosewood handles vary in color and striation, which is part of the uniqueness of natural materials.

Excellent Trade-off 10/31/2016

High quality for the price, elegant looks, and the blade is large enough for daily tasks. The handle is long enough and wide enough for secure 2 1/2 finger grip. Light in my pocket, which is important for daily carry. The blade is thin, just over 1/16" thick, and hollow ground. The stainless steel blade is soft enough to sharpen quickly, yet holds an edge long enough for light use. Lock spring is quite strong requiring some effort to release. Rose wood scales are attractive and feel good when using the knife. The Gent's knife makes excellent trade-offs between comfortable to carry and usefulness, ease of sharpening and edge holding, quality and price, elegance and "toolness".

Update to my "Excellent Trade-offs" review. The back of the blade is smooth so pinch gripping the blade to open it is tricky- my fingers tend to slip. For some reason this knife does not carry comfortably in my pocket with the other contents. Surprising for a knife this small.
