The illustrated Buck knife is the Buck Stockman Knife that features clip, spey and sheepfoot blades made of 420HC stainless steel with nail nicks for opening. The textured black Valox handle, 3 7/8" closed, has the old Buck Hammer-Bolt-Knife shield and nickel silver bolsters. The Buck Stockman Knife weighs 2.9 ounces. Made in the USA.

Ordered one for my nephew. My Mother liked that she could open it even with arthritis in her thumbs. Mother has a new knife. I liked that it was "Sharpened to Shave". Ordered an exact replacement. buckknives.com didn't have the BU-301.Knives Plus is also considerably less expensive.

Bought this as an EDC chore knife. It's not fancy, just a sold USA made slip joint. Had Knives+ sharpen it. Excellent sharpening service. Satisfied with the knife.
