The illustrated Cold Steel Tomahawk is the Cold Steel Rifleman's Hawk that features an 8 1/8" hawk head made of precision drop forged 1055 carbon steel. The head has a black coat, a 3 1/2" primary edge with two sticking points for throwing, and a hammer poll for driving in stakes. The 22" long handle of this Cold Steel Tomahawk is made of straight grain American Hickory. The Cold Steel Rifleman's Hawk weighs approximately 36.5 ounces.
Cold Steel Tomahawks have precision drop forged differentially heat treated black coated 1055 steel heads. This means that the cutting edge and hammer face is fully hardened, while the balance of the head is left relatively soft to absorb the shock of striking blows.
