Forschner Knives: Forschner Paring Knife, Bird's Beak, FO-40606
The illustrated Forschner Knife is the Forschner Paring Knife that features a 2 1/4" curved bird's beak blade made of high carbon stainless steel. The handle of this paring knife is made of black nylon that is NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) approved.
Forschner kitchen knives feature high-carbon stainless steel blades which are hand finished by Victorinox in Switzerland. A special tempering process produces an edge that can be resharpened again and again. All Victorinox handles are ergonomically designed to minimize wrist tension.
Editor's note: I have never quite figured out what to do with these curved bird's beak parers, but a sweet little Grandma that cans (mason jar) peaches every year assures me that they are the best for peeling fruit. I know that if these knives work as good as her peaches taste, then you'll love 'em.
