Forschner Knives: Forschner Boning Knife, 6 Inch Extra Wide Stiff Fibrox, FO-5.6003.15
The illustrated Forschner Knife is the Forschner Boning Knife that features a 6" straight, extra wide, stiff blade made of high carbon stainless steel with the Victorinox Eagle Crest logo etch. The ergonomic black Fibrox handle has been approved by the NSF (National Sanitation Foundation).
Forschner kitchen knives feature high-carbon stainless steel blades which are hand finished by Victorinox in Switzerland. A special tempering process produces an edge that can be resharpened again and again. All Victorinox handles are ergonomically designed to minimize wrist tension.
Editor's Note: Forschner Knives have been and continue to be manufactured by Victorinox in Switzerland. Recently, it has come to our attention that Victorinox no longer wishes to promote the name of Forschner. Neither the quality nor the value of the knives have changed. The only thing that has changed is the omitance of the name Forschner on the blade.
