The illustrated KABAR knife is the KA-BAR USMC Fighting Utility Knife that features a 7" 1095 Cro-Van high carbon steel clip point blade with epoxy powder coat, blood groove and USMC tang stamp. Polished stacked leather washer handle with powder coated carbon steel guard and butt cap. A leather sheath with USMC embossment is included with this KABAR Knife. The USMC KABAR Fighting Utility Knife has an overall length of 11 7/8", and it weighs .70 pounds.

I carried a black one with a serrated edge and kraton handle while in the Marine Corps and it served me well. It's pretty beat up and I wanted one of the original Kabars to hang on my wall. It's a beautiful knife with a lot of wonderful history. I could do without the "USMC" stenciling on the front of the sheath but I still love it. This one will not be used at all. I only wanted it for the aesthetic value.
