The illustrated Old Hickory Knife is the Old Hickory Sticker Knife that features a 6" double edge blade made of carbon steel. This Sticker Knife has full tang construction with brass riveted hardwood handle scales. The Old Hickory Sticker Knife has an overall length of 10 3/4". Made in the USA.

Caution, high carbon steel will rust if not properly cared for. Clean and oil after use, and keep out of the dishwasher.

This fine sample of "Old Hickory" knives. It has been said before that the 1095 Carbon Steel holds an excellent edge. This it does with the tenacity of an American Pit Bull Terrier!

These are true American tools of great utility. I have used "Old Hickory" knives since 1961. (My parents owned a few of these). They take a marvelous patina and, over time attain great "character". This particular sample came without a sharp edge. It took quite a while to personally put one on it. (My skilled hands and a Spyderco Trangle "Sharpmaker" saw to that).

I'm happy with my purchase. To prove it, I ordered the "Old Hickory" 7" Butcher Knife yesterday! I plan on using these knives until I'm gone (Which shouldn't be for another 20-25 years). Knives plus provides good products and excellent service. It pays to buy "Old Hickory" knives and implements. Great knives of good, old-fashioned, forged American steel. I'll buy more later because I know how well they work.

Got it for no other reason than because it was cheap and looked cool. But, so far, it's been a great help in the kitchen as well as during work. Not shaving sharp, but you don't want it to be if you plan to use it for any other kind of work. The handle is finished, smooth to the touch, and feels great.

The only bad things I can bring up are that the bevels aren't exactly even, and you can slice open your hand if you aren't careful due to the lack of a guard. But other than that, it's a knife that takes an edge and keeps it and will last a long time if you keep care of it.

This will make a good knife for dressing game in the field as well as in the kitchen. I'll need to put an extremely sharp edge on the knife so that cleaning game and slicing meat can be performed easily.

The 1095 Carbon Steel takes, and keeps, a razor sharp edge. Just hand wash the knife, wipe it down with mineral oil and don't let it "bang around in a drawer. It will hold an edge better than most blades of stainless steel.

Buy Old Hickory knives. The value for the money can't be surpassed.

Both knives arrived quickly and I'm happy with the quality and service. Not much to say about these knives that's not already known. These are tough blades and I have several more by Old Hickory. The Sticker is ground on both sides and both knives were factory sharp, which means that they needed more attention to get the where I like them. I'm really fond of Old Hickory knives and the perform great in the kitchen and would do well for bushcraft. Great service and great knives.

I was extremely pleased with the service and prices at Knives Plus. I ordered the Old Hickory skinner and sticker to add to my cutlery collection. The paring knife I had laser etched for our dirty Santa family gift exchange this year. I ordered the knives the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, they laser etched the one knife and shipped all three the same day. I received them the Friday after Thanksgiving. Like I said I’m extremely pleased. Thanks for the great job Knives Plus.
