The 980 Benchmade Turret Knife is a formidable everyday carry that features a 3.70 inch drop point blade made of premium CPM S30V stainless steel, .124 inches thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60. The blade has a satin finish, a notched thumb ramp for secure grip, and dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening. The olive drab G10 handle, 4.90 inches closed, has milled texturing for secure grip, stainless steel liners and black anodized steel spacers for strength, sturdy AXIS Lock, a lanyard hole, and a side to side reversible steel pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The Benchmade Turret Knife has an overall open length of 8.60 inches, and it weighs 5.81 ounces. Proudly made in the USA.

Great EDC/Tactical knife 09/07/2020

Benchmade did a great job with this knife which feels good and sturdier in hand than quite a few other models, without being heavy. The handle is not the most grippy, but you get deep jumping, both on the handle and on the blade, to allow for a very firm hold of the knife in a couple of positions. I love the wide blade. This knife is the perfect transition between EDC and tactical. Not too beefy, but serious-looking without being too aggressive. Slides very well in and out of the pocket. A winner when you are in the mood for a serious knife that is not too beefy, and without going to more aggressive Cold Steel, Hogues, HK, or similar knives.

This is the third time I’ve come back to KnivesPlus, and with good reason, they are awesome! The acidwash option makes an excellent knife perfect! Exactly how I wanted it. It is now my favorite knife in my collection and my go to for heavy-duty/tactical applications. Thanks KnivesPlus! Definitely recommend
