Knife is sharpened to a razor edge. This service is done on a 2" x 72" Burr King and finished on a Baldor buffer using a leather wheel. Blades are kept cool so overheating is not an issue. The Benchmade Bugout is a slim, lightweight everyday carry knife that is equally suitable for a pair of dress pants or a backpack. This Bugout features a 3.24" drop point blade made of CPM S30V stainless steel, .090" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60. The blade has a satin finish with a top swedge and dual blue thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening. The blue handle scales have been replaced with the KP Custom Carbon Fiber Damascus Pattern Scales. The Bugout has a closed length of 4.22 inches, an ambidextrous AXIS Lock, a large lanyard hole and a side to side reversible discrete carry pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The aluminum thumbstud and standoffs have been replaced with stronger black stainless steel parts. All original parts are included in package. The Benchmade Bugout Knife has an overall open length of 7.46", and it weighs only 2.1 ounces. Proudly made in the USA.

This knife is amazing. So lightweight you can't even tell you have it in your pocket. The action is amazing. This is my first bugout and wasn't too sure about it. Loved it so much I bought the modified titanium edition with the mayhem scales. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. Also came sharp as hell with the extra $5.

The Bugout with these C.F. scales transformed this knife into a beautiful classy edc knife. I really love the feel and look of carbon. I have several benchmade and spyderco knives and this is one of my favorites. I also changed the hardware and clip to my liking.

Don’t know why there isn’t more of the Damascus carbon fiber scales out there for other Benchmades, the pattern an these scales are by far my favorite of all carbon fiber scales I’ve got, I’d like to see more available
