The Boker 01BO721 Urban Trapper - a "tactical" version of Brad Zinker's Urban Trapper, features a 3 1/2 inch tanto blade made of VG10 stainless steel with a satin finish, a complex grind with swedged spine, and a flipper for ambidextrous one hand opening. The slim profile stonewash titanium handle, 4 1/4 inches closed, has holes for visual interest and to lessen weight, a pivot with ball bearing system for smooth opening, a sturdy frame lock, and a low carry pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The Boker Urban Trapper Tanto has an overall open length of 7 3/4 inches, and it weighs 1.7 ounces.

Excellent EDC Choice 04/10/2018

I bought this knife to use as an EDC. I was looking for something with an integral lock, 3.5-inch blade and light weight. Since I'm not a fan of inlay/overlay scales, this knife caught my eye. It is super light and very thin, so it isn't obtrusive when in the front pocket. The blade shape is really neat to look at, and is very practical. The tip is super pointy and perfect for fine cuts or even thorn/splinter removal. The only downside I've found is that the flipper tab is pretty grabby to clothes and other items that you may have in your pocket along with the knife. This is a light-duty knife as it is only held together by the pivot in the front and one screw in the rear. But if you want a useful and slim EDC, this is a great choice.

What a pleasant surprise from Böker. This is an excellent addition to this series. Overall, this piece is aesthetically pleasing and offers a nice blend between a tactical, and gentleman's carry look. As you may have asserted, this is an ultra light carry, and for a sub-$100 knife, you get features presented more expensive knives (a beautiful tanto with hand rubbed satin finish, smooth deployment, speed holes, a nice stonewash on the frame, and a deep carry pocket clip). In the age of super steel madness, I still appreciate VG-10 and great value! You won't be disappointed.
