From Boker: The Hungarian knifemaker Sandor Hegyes specialises in practical and no-frills outdoor knives that are always designed for tough use and inspire every adventurer with their high functionality. The comparatively compact Boker Plus Bark Beetle is suitable for the wilderness as well as for everyday use and convinces with uncompromising practicality. The knife owes its name to the tiny bark beetle, which nowadays enjoys a rather dubious reputation. Yet the unpopular beetle is a true master of recycling deadwood and has been an indispensable part of the forest ecosystem for many millions of years.
The robust full tang construction of 1095 carbon steel with a matte coating provides effective protection against corrosion. In addition, the textured handle scales made of olive green canvas micarta, with their additional milling, always lie securely in the hand. The brass-coloured hollow rivets in the handle not only reduce the weight, but also allow a safety strap to be attached. Supplied with a high-quality black leather sheath that can be worn comfortably on the belt.
