Boker red smooth bone stockman

In September 2018 while in Tennessee on vacation I went to smoky mountain knife works and bought a Boker red smooth bone stockman to replace one exactly like it that I lost 10 years before in 2008 I’ve carried it everyday since September 2018 and use it for work and when camping all the time I really like the 4034 high carbon stainless soligen steel blades they get razor sharp and stay that way I use a Arkansas hard and soft sharpening stone and a wustof sharpening steel to sharpen it all the time I recently got a ceramic sharpening stone and sharpened my Boker stockman with it and it got it razor sharp and I will be using it more often now at my camper because my Arkansas Stone are at my house I would definitely recommend the Boker stockman made in soligen Germany to anyone who wants a good quality pocket knife to make a daily carry you will not regret buying it at all the soligen Germany Boker is a little pricy but they are well worth the money spent and hold up very well

My Boker red smooth bone stockman
By
Had a older Boker USA red smooth bone stockman from 2002-2008 till it got lost out of my pocket and was gone for good. Then while down in Tennessee in September 2018 I was at a knife shop and found the same exact knife like I lost 10 years earlier. So after finding another one I went ahead and bought it and I’ve now carried it about a year now and I really can’t see any difference in the new one versus the older one I had other then the new one is a 4034 high carbon stainless steel blades to where the older one was carbon steel blades I can not really tell any difference between the old one and the new one I have now it’s my main everyday carry all the time I use it as a work knife and when camping all the time the soligen stainless steel blades of this knife will definitely get razor sharp and stay that way for a while depending on what you are doing with it all I have to do is sharpen mine on a soft Arkansas stone and then use a sharpening steel and that is how I sharpen

Boker red smooth bone stockman

From 2002 till 2008 I had a older Boker red smooth bone stockman that I carried everyday till it fell out of my pocket and got lost. It took me till September 2018 till I was able to get another one and it’s been my constant everyday carry since then. Only thing different that I see is my older Boker USA red smooth bone stockman was carbon steel blades and the new one is 4034 soligen stainless steel blades that is really the only difference between the two that I can see the new Boker gets just as sharp as what my old one did. And I use it for everything from cutting boxes to opening packages and even opening my mail. I even use it to cut the foil top off of the bottles of two stroke oil so I can go get my mixed gas for my weedeater and leaf blower. I use my knife constantly all the time and sharpen it using Arkansas hard and soft sharpening stones and it dosent take long to get a sharp edge back on the knife at all

I had a older Boker USA series stockman with carbon steel blades that I carried from 02-08 till it fell out of my pocket and got lost and it took me till September 18 to be able to get another one and I really can’t see any difference in the new one verses the older one I had the only thing different is the older one was carbon steel blades and the new one is actually stainless steel blades the new Boker will get razor sharp and stay that way I’ve opened packages with it and cut up cardboard boxes with it and it hardly makes it dull at all I keep it touched up on a stone about every three weeks that way I’ve always got it sharp for whatever I need to use it for I have even used it when opening the mail and small bottles of oil for weedeater gas I highly suggest the boker brand knife they are very good quality and hold a edge like you will not believe
