The "Sodbuster" knife is a favorite knife among Texas Cowboys; almost as common as a wide brimmed cowboy hat or Copenhagen snuff stuck between the cheek and gum. The sodbuster is used for everything from shucking mountain oysters off a bull to cutting cockleburs from your chaps. Yellow handles are traditional, and make the knife easy to find in a corral after breaking an ornery colt. The flat sided handle profile makes for carry easy in the pocket or chinks. Locking "Sodbuster" knives are hard to find, and those with a handy lanyard hole are also pretty rare, but this bronc's got'em both! They are unfortunately imported from the far east, and I don't mean New York - but that fact keeps the price low.
