Replacement for a 30+ year old casexx 09/25/2024

I recently purchased this case to replace the original that had dry rot on the belt loop, the knife was mixed in with a tote full of strap tree steps used with bow hunting tree stands. Was going through old gear and found the misplaced knife, slight moisture damage to knife and the case. Cleaned the knife on 4000 to 12000 grit wet stones, polished the blade on leather strop, and it looks new, the handle grip has age showing and the original sheath is junk. So I bought the new dual sheath, planning to add the3 1/8" smaller knife to have the set. Need to treat the new leather so it will last at least another 30 years. The leather is constructed with the same quality of the original sheath and am very pleased with the purchase, the quality speaks of the passage of time and plan to give it to my eight year old grandson when he turns 16.
The only thing I feel is missing is the rivet to secure the tips leather layers together as was on the original
single knifes sheath.
