The LIN-1012 Chris Reeve Large Inkosi knife features a 3.6 inch drop point blade made of S45VN stainless steel, .1400 inch thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 59-60. The blade has a special large hollow grind for strength, a tumbled satin finish, a notched thumb rest for secure grip, and dual titanium thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening. The sand blasted 6AL4V titanium handle, 4.8 inches closed, has attractive black canvas Micarta inlays, a sturdy pivot with large pivot screw and pin, oversized bronze phosphor washers to eliminate sideways blade play, and the innovative Reeve Ceramic Ball End Integral Lock that uses a ceramic ball as an interface for the lock bar to the blade tang for consistent solid lock up. (The ball also drops into a detent on the blade to ensure the blade does not open accidentally.) The handle has open frame construction, a lanyard post, and a removable pocket clip mounted at the butt end.
