Cold Steel Knives: Cold Steel Broken Skull Knife, OD Green, CS-54SBG

The illustrated Cold Steel Knife is the Limited Edition Cold Steel Broken Skull Knife, designed in collaboration with Mr. Steve Austin, that features a 4" clip point blade made of CTS XHP stainless steel, 3.5mm thick. The blade of this Cold Steel Knife has a non reflective black DLC coat and dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening. The OD Green G10 handle, 5 1/4" closed, has a slim profile for comfortable every day carry, and the Tri-Ad lock. A removable steel pocket clip is mounted at the butt end of this Cold Steel Knife. The Limited Edition Cold Steel Broken Skull Knife has an overall open length of 9 1/4" and it weighs 3.1 ounces.

Fantastic knife, especially for the price 04/07/2019

Forget about the goofy name, forget about the billboarding, just buy this knife. It is fantastic.

What do I like?

-The ergos are very, very comfortable. Thinness is not a problem.
-Sharp out of the box.
-Great blade shape, very useful.
-Easy to maintain with a few passes on the Sharpmaker.
-CTS XHP!
-Carries phenomenally well, possibly better than any other knife in my collection.
-4" of blade in 3oz knife. That's crazy!
-Grippy handles without being too grippy.
-Very strong, confidence inspiring knife.
-Love the Triad lock.

What do I not like?
-The pocket clip is a tad short and extremely stiff.
-Some people may find the lock too hard to disengage.
-The lock in my sample feels gritty.
-It is not an easy knife to operate one handed. There is a learning curve, and great care must be taken to avoid an accident.

I think every knife enthusiast should have one of these in their collection. It really is an incredible bargain for a no nonsense, hard use knife.
