The illustrated Cold Steel Machete is the Latin Machete that features a 24" blade made of 1055 carbon steel, 2mm thick. The blade of this Cold Steel Machete has a black baked on anti rust matte finish. The 5 5/8" long black Polypropylene handle has checkering for secure grip, and a hanging hole. A Cor-Ex sheath is included with this Cold Steel Machete. The Cold Steel Latin Machete with 24" blade has an overall length of 29 5/8", and it weighs 18.8 ounces.

so far, so good! 01/04/2017

so far, worked like a charm. used it to chop out vines and weeds at work - worked like a charm. the 24" is a tad cumbersome for close quarter work (fence lines, etc.) but otherwise good. also works well for "employee moral" when I keep it in my office! ;)
