Cold Steel Knives: Cold Steel Spartan Knife, CS-21SC

The illustrated Cold Steel Knife is the Cold Steel Spartan Knife, designed by Andrew Demko, that features a 4 1/2" modified kukri style blade made of Carpenter CTS BD1 stainless steel, 4mm thick. The blade of this Cold Steel knife has a non reflective matte finish, and a patented thumb plate for ambidextrous one hand opening, as well as open on withdrawal. The grooved black Griv-Ex handle, 6" closed, has a pronounced choil and pommel curve for secure grip, steel liners for strength, the ambidextrous Tri-Ad lock and a lanyard hole. A removable stainless steel pocket clip is mounted at the butt end of this Cold Steel knife. The Cold Steel Spartan Knife has an overall length of 10 1/2" when open, and it weighs 9 ounces.

The Spartan is a handful, but is thin enough to carry in your pocket all day. It rides very low and is comfortable. The blade will shave hair out of the box, and is strong enough for hard tasks like cutting rope, carpeting, and sheet rubber. Lock-up is very solid. This is also an excellent self-defense weapon as well. The blade is well shaped for slashing attacks and has a pretty good point. The handle is very secure and can be used in either a regular or reverse grip. The pommel is solid and will deliver heavy strikes. Finally, the Spartan is inexpensive enough to have several lying around, in vehicles, etc. I really like this knife.

This is by far the best tactical knife I own , love the what a friend of mine calls the hillbilly blade profile. The spartin knife has a very hefty feel not too heavy in the pocket thow , opens by pocket deployment very fast methods can be seen on utube.
