Columbia River Knife and Tool: CRKT Crossbones Knife, CR-7530


The CRKT Crossbones Knife, designed by Hawaiian knifemaker Jeff Park (under the tutelage of Ken Onion), features a 3.536" blade made of AUS8 stainless steel, .124" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 57-59, a satin finish, a notched thumb rest for secure grip, and a low profile flipper for ambidextrous one hand opening. The slim 6061 aluminum handle, 4.503" closed, has a textured gray hard anodized finish with contrasting satin flats for visual interest, a liner lock, large lanyard hole and a removable pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The Crossbones Knife has an overall open length of 8.063", and it weighs a mere 2.4 ounces. Made in Taiwan.

This feels as good as it looks.super quality and opens smoothly.
Cons,blade unlock could have been raised a little so one hand closure would be easier. I rounded the flipper end of each handle with a strip of emery cloth so it wasn't so square,took the edge off.

Super smooth and super fast opening. Sleek design, nice finish. Comfortable heft. The closure of the knife is just as impressive as the opening when the blade falls into place when it's almost fully in the handle. Like magic. CRKT home run.
