The Black CRKT Fossil Knife, designed by Brazilian knifemaker Flavio Ikoma, features a 3.960" part serrated clip point blade made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, .148" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60, a satin finish, notched thumb rest for secure purchase, blade slot and flipper for ambidextrous one hand opening. The hammered finish stainless steel handle, 4.928" closed, has the IKBS Ball Bearing Pivot System for smooth opening, textured black and gray two tone G10 overlays for secure grip, sturdy frame lock, and a removable pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The Fossil Black Knife with part serrated blade has an overall open length of 9.063", and it weighs 5.8 ounces.
