Columbia River Knife and Tool: CRKT Piet Knife, CR-5390
The 5390 CRKT Piet Knife is a compact, lightweight everyday carry, designed by Jesper Voxnaes of Loegstrup, Denmark, that features a 2.69 inch drop point blade made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, .130 inches thick, with a satin finish and a thumb hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The black GRN (glass reinforced nylon) handle, 3.76 inches closed, has ergonomic contours for comfort, a liner lock, a contrasting bright blue back spacer for strength and visual interest, an oversized lanyard hole, and a side to side reversible deep carry stainless steel pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The Piet Knife has an overall open length of 6.44 inches, and it weighs 2.5 ounces.

Typically, Jesper designs his custom creations in his shop in Loegstrup, Denmark. The Piet™ /peet/, though, was first sketched in Portland International Airport on the heels of his first-ever visit to the city. With a satin finish and a flat grind, the drop point blade is tough yet lightweight, it'll fly under the radar until it's time to do damage to some packaging. It's perfectly balanced by a compact yet highly ergonomic glass-reinforced nylon handle and a deep-carry clip that makes it barely noticeable in the pocket of work pants. The blade deploys quickly with an oversized thumb hole and is held securely in place with a locking liner.
