Columbia River Knife and Tool: CRKT Ripsnort Knife, CR-7270

The CRKT Ripsnort Knife is a brawny little everyday carry, designed by Michigan knifemaker Philip Booth, that features a 2.831" cleaver style sheepfoot blade made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, .106" thick, with a top swedge, a satin finish and a flipper for ambidextrous one hand opening. The black POM (Polyoxymethylene) handle, 4.026" closed, has decorative stainless steel inlays for visual interest, ergonomic contouring, steel liners and a backspacer for strength, sturdy liner lock, lanyard hole and a removable pocket clip mounted at the pivot end. The Ripsnort Knife has an overall open length of 6.938", and it weighs 6.0 ounces. Made in China.

This is a bargain! It's so well built that it's surprising at such an affordable price.

It came pretty sharp but with a few passes on knivesplus' wonderful green Strop Block, it now shaves hair.

I would have given this 5 stars but with it's thick blade and thick double liners, it's a heavy knife. But the trade off is, it's super durable and ready for hard use.

The flipper blade opens easily and smoothly with one hand. Lock up is rock solid.

This really is a suprisingly well built knife and a real bargain at $30.00.

This knife is built very well and is a bargain for the money, around $35. It has a good weight seems to be a quality product. It was shipped sharp enough to shave and packaged well. Its a very practical working mans knife. If I had to complain it would be the handle scale. It is buffed below the hinge rivet and the scale could be thicker but I have large hands. Still feels good when gripped.
