Columbia River Knife and Tool: CRKT Tuna Knife, CR-2520

The 2520 CRKT Tuna Knife, designed by Lucas Burnley of Orleans, Massachusetts, is a sleek EDC that features a 3.22 inch deep belly drop point blade made of 8Cr14MoV stainless steel, .145 inches thick, with a top swedge, a non reflective black stonewash finish, and dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening. The handle, 4.49 inches closed, has a textured green G10 front, black stonewash stainless steel back, bronze anodized pivot ring and backspacer for visual interest, a sturdy frame lock, lanyard hole and a removable stainless steel pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The Tuna Knife has an overall open length of 7.69 inches, and it weighs 3.7 ounces.

From the CRKT website: Built like a Bluefin. With a profile that suggests strong forward momentum and a blade shape that looks like a deep-sea carnivore, the Tuna™ everyday carry folding knife slices through packages and boxes faster than a Bluefin slices through the swell on a taut line.

Lucas Burnley was inspired by his newfound backyard when he sat down to sketch the Tuna™. Freshly settled in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, he designed the deep-belly drop point blade to be extremely versatile while mimicking the look of the powerful Bluefin tuna that roams the Atlantic. It's met with a super grippy handle with G10 on the front and stainless steel on the back that excels in adverse conditions. The handle is set off with a bronze anodized pivot ring and backspacer. Deployed with a thumb stud, the blade stays securely in place with a frame lock.

Get the power of one of the world's largest, fastest fish in your pocket.

Lucas Burnely Rules 02/26/2020
By Bobby
Lucas Burnely did another great job on this one. Reminds me a bit of the Steel Will Piercer which is a good thing. So smooth to operate too, it's actually drop shutty. Runs on Teflon washers which YouTubers who don't know what they're talking about like to crap on. They actually cost more than bronze phosphorus, look it up. And they are much less likely to stop working from dirt than anything else too. But anyway, it's super well done as everything I've ever experienced from CRKT to be.
