The illustrated CRKT knife is the CRKT Free Range Hunter Compact Fixed Blade, designed by custom knifemaker Russ Kommer, that features a 3.100" drop point modified skinner style fixed blade made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, .120" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60. The blade of this CRKT knife has a hollow grind and a notched thumb ramp for secure grip. The hard black injection molded polymer handle has soft gray injection molded polymer finger grooves and spine for secure purchase, and a lanyard hole. A reinforced nylon sheath with horizontal and vertical carry option is included with this CRKT knife. The CRKT Free Range Hunter Compact Fixed Blade with drop point blade has an overall length of 6.810", and it weighs 2.0 ounces.
From the CRKT website regarding the handle: Handles are comfortably shaped and the optimally sized finger grooves help to provide grip confidence equally well for both large, or small hands. A double injection mold process of both hard and soft polymers creates an ideal all-weather, textured handle surface.
