LIKE THE STONE. TWO SIDED, 1200 EXTRA FINE GRIT AND 400 MEDIUM. 8X3 INCH SIZE NICE FOR LARGE KNIVES. COMES WITH AN EXCELLENT NON SLIP PAD. HAVE USED IT SEVERAL TIMES. COMES ROUGH ON BOTH SIDES BUT SMOOTHS OUT FAST. I USED AN OLD KNIFE I HAD MADE OUT OF A FILE TO SMOOTH BOTH SIDES. THE DIAMOND STONES WORK GREAT. SHOULD LAST A LIFE TIME. MOSTLY USE THE EXTRA FINE 1200 GRIT SIDE. MEDIUM 400 GRIT SIDE FOR VERY DULL OR NICKED EDGES.
KNIVES PLUS PROVIDED EXCELLENT SERVICE AND 3 DAY DELIVERY. VERY PLEASED AND HAVE USED THEM AGAIN.

Last EZ-LAP I bought was 25 years ago . . . and my needs have changed needing a larger stone. This one fits the bill, especially with the dual grit. Perfect for my needs, works well, and the last one I had still has life in it. Price was pretty reasonable in view of others I looked at. Would buy again, except this stone will likely outlast me . . . .

I have had the 6" x 2" double sided stone for quite awhile and it works great but needed something bigger for the bigger knives in the drawer and the 8" x 3" fits the bill. The pad sticks to any smooth surface and holds the stone secure. A good simple design.
