Fox Knives: Fox Blackfox Vesuvius, FX-BF710

The Fox Blackfox Vesuvius Knife - a bushcraft knife designed by Alfredo Doricchi, features a 4.1" drop point fixed blade made of 440C stainless steel, .20" thick, with a satin finish and a flat grind. The Vesuvius has full tang construction for strength, ergonomic black G10 scales with thong tubing pins, and a lanyard hole. A Kydex sheath with Tek-Lok and firestarter is included. The Vesuvius Knife has an overall length of 8.9", and it weighs 8.3 ounces. Made in Italy.

This is a great knife. I bought it on a whim and am glad I did. It is substantial in the hand and sharp right out of the box. I bought this at the same time I bought a TOPS B.O.B. Fieldcraft. The Vesuvius and the ferrocerium rod that came with it absolutely blew away the B.O.B. sending a shower of sparks that the B.O.B. simply couldn't match!

The kydex sheath comes with a 'tek-loc' style belt clip and together they are sturdy and serve there purpose well.
