Knife is sharpened to a razor edge. This service is done on a 2" x 72" Burr King and finished on a Baldor buffer using a leather wheel. Blades are kept cool so overheating is not an issue. Fox Knives: Fox Vox Njall Knife, Canvas Micarta, FX-511


This Fox Njall Knife, designed in collaboration with Jesper Voxnaes of Vox Knives, features a beefy 4.5" clip point fixed blade made of premium N690 stainless steel, .20" thick, with a satin finish. The blade has a big belly that is perfect for skinning, a flat grind with swedged spine, a notched thumb rest for secure grip and precise control, and a pronounced choil for choking up on the blade for fine cuts. The Njall has full tang construction for strength, and ergonomic brownish green canvas Micarta scales with thong tubing pins (the larger of which doubles as a lanyard hole). An open top fitted leather sheath is included. The Njall Knife has an overall length of 8.9", and it weighs 8.1 ounces. Made in Italy.

Really impressed with the workmanship of this fixed blade knife. Tang is extremely strong and the blade is very sharp. Have not had a chance to put it through a field test but judging from the thickness of the spline and tang, this knife will last a life time of heavy use.
