KA-BAR Knives: KABAR Black Fighter Knife, KA-1271

The KA-BAR Black Fighter Knife features an 8" part serrated clip point blade made of 1095 carbon steel with a Rockwell hardness of 56-58. The blade is extra wide (1 1/2") with a non reflective black coat and a top swedge. The oval Kraton G handle has a black coated carbon steel guard, and powdered metal butt cap. The Black Fighter comes with a leather/Cordura combination sheath. The KA-BAR Black Fighter Knife is 12 7/8" overall, and weighs .8 pounds.

My #1 favorite of all KA-BAR Combat Knives and this one is more robust than the renowned USMC Fighting Knife because of the thicker tang.
It is a de-facto tactical/fighting knife and the hollow grind knife edge is deadly sharp right out of the box! No wonder it is unofficially adopted by the Israeli Army's elite Orev Golani Combat Brigade as a CQB weapon.
I have 2 of these myself and I treasure them like my daughters.
I brandish them whenever I practice Krav Maga.
