The illustrated KA-BAR Knife is the Foliage Green KABAR Fighting-Utility Knife that features a 7" clip point blade made of 1095 cro-van carbon steel, with a Rockwell hardness of 56-58. The blade of this KABAR knife has a non reflective black epoxy powder coat and a blood groove. The Foliage Green oval Kraton G thermoplastic elastomer handle comes with a black metal butt cap and guard. A Foliage Green hard plastic sheath is included with this KABAR Knife. The KABAR Fighting-Utility Knife with Foliage Green handle and sheath has an overall length of 11 3/4", and weighs .65 pounds.
The KA-BAR Foliage Green Hard Plastic Sheath features two ways to keep the blade secure. A friction guard lock holds the blade inside the sheath, and a nylon retaining strap snaps around the handle for extra security. The sheath is also salt water resistant, so the blade will not cut through if the sheath is submerged in salt water. The KA-BAR hard plastic sheath has several grommets and slots for tie-downs, and allows for a variety of carrying options.
