Kershaw Knives: Kershaw Bracket Knife, KE-3455
The 3455 Kershaw Bracket is a trendy little value priced EDC that features a 3.4 inch cleaver style blade made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, .110 inch thick, with a stonewash finish, notched spine areas for secure grip and precise control, a flipper and SpeedSafe Assist for ambidextrous one hand opening. The handle, 4.4 inches closed, has a textured black GFN (glass filled nylon) scale with steel pivot overlay for visual appeal, stonewash stainless steel back with sturdy frame lock, lanyard hole, and a side to side reversible deep carry steel pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The Kershaw Bracket Knife has an overall open length of 7.75 inches, and it weighs 4.3 ounces. Made in China.
From the Kershaw website: The Bracket is an XL version of the original Static cleaver. But rather than a simple size change, it has some fresh additions as well. A new G10 front handle scale is plenty grippy, and its steel pivot overlay adds visual interest. Functionally, the Bracket opens easily with SpeedSafe assisted opening. A large choil allows users to enhance their grip. The deep-carry pocketclip is reversible for right or left carry, and the handle also includes a new lanyard hole. Even with its changes, the knife weight is just as balanced the Static. Yet, the Bracket does something different, while remaining a practical and fun cleaver for the collection.
