The illustrated MODIFIED Benchmade Knife is the Benchmade Griptilian Knife, designed by Mel Pardue. This MODIFIED Griptilian knife features an ACID STONEWASHED 3.45" modified sheepfoot blade made of S30V stainless steel, .115" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 58-61. The ACID STONEWASHED blade of this Benchmade knife has a hollow grind, a notched thumb rest for secure grip, and a blade hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The black Noryl GTX and Valox handle, 4.62" closed, has double stainless steel liners, ambidextrous AXIS lock and a lanyard hole. A side to side reversible steel pocket clip is mounted at the butt end of this Benchmade knife. The Benchmade Griptilian Knife with modified sheepfoot blade has an overall open length of 8.07", and weighs 3.25 ounces. Made in the USA.

Perfect quick personalized gift 12/11/2020

I was looking to fully customize a bench made griptilian for my son but turnaround time wouldn’t have been quick enough for his birthday. I found knivesplus had these modified blades that I could still personalize and a much quicker turnaround! I received his gift MUCH quicker than I thought and it was absolutely perfect. Blade was factory sharp and the message on the blade looked amazing. Added bonus: factory recognized “Bubba” (my sons nickname since birth) as profanity and wouldn’t allow it fit the laser engraving. But knivesplus came through for me, that was the most important part of the gift. My son loves the knife and is very impressed with the quality and looks.

It's a great knife and i would definitely recommend purchasing it. When I ordered it i thought the edge on the blade would be sloppy after the stone washed finish but i was really happy with the edge it had. It's scary sharp. Blade centering was perfect, and there was minimal blade play pike any axis lock.

Ordered the Griptilian with stonewash blade and it looks great. I had custom scales but wanted a unique blade for the knife. The acid stonewash is perfect. I wanted a darker blade but didn't want the glossy DLC coating. This fit the bill. Thanks K+ for great service and a great knife.

I recently purchased both a regular and mini Griptilian knife with acid stonewashed blades. Both knives were delivered quickly and the finish and operation of both were spot-on. I am very satisfied with my purchase and will be purchasing from Knives Plus in the future.

I like to customize things this was a already modified blade that I find to look nicer than the original blade. Added new scale and some hardware and I have found a new favorite EDC. Great customer service. Will definitely buy for KP again in the future.
