This MODIFIED Sage 5 Lightweight features a 3-inch leaf blade made of CPM SPY27 stainless steel, .118-inch thick, with a full flat grind, a notched choil and thumb ramp for secure grip, and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The ergonomic Cobalt Blue FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) handle has been replaced with our Exclusive AWT Midnight Blue Scales. The Sage 5 LW is 4.17-inches closed with nested stainless steel liners, sturdy Compression Lock, a lanyard hole, and a side to side reversible deep carry wire clip mounted at the butt end. The Spyderco Sage 5 Lightweight Knife has an overall open length of 7.13-inches and it weighs 3.43 ounces. Made in Taiwan.

Beautiful and high quality feel, but the contouring thins out the edges and they are fairly sharp. This is significantly less comfortable than the standard frn or g10. But it does look and feel great to hold and play with and it is perfectly fine to use. The action is perfect and the centering is ok.

For serious use, these scales are a downgrade.
