The MODIFIED C240CFP Spyderco Smock knife is an understated EDC, designed by Kevin Smock and based on his SK23 custom folder, that features an ACID STONEWASHED 3.45 inch clip point blade made of CPM S30V stainless steel, .118 inches thick, with a hollow grind, a pronounced choil and notched thumb rest for secure grip, the Spyderco Trademark Round Hole and a discreet flipper tang for ambidextrous one hand opening. The slim carbon fiber G10 laminate handle, 4.50 inches closed, has milled holes to lessen weight, stainless steel liners, sturdy Compression Lock with handy button release, a lanyard hole, and a removable metal clip mounted at the butt end. ALL HARDWARE AND LINERS HAVE BEEN BRONZED HEAT COLORED. The MODIFIED Spyderco Smock Knife has an overall open length of 7.95 inches, and it weighs 3.7 ounces. Made in Taiwan.

This was my first modified knife purchase so I had my reservations, all wholly unfounded. The action, centering and overall fit and finish are right on par with Taichung standards. The edge has perfect bevels and was razor sharp, someone really took pride in this, it’s a beautiful thing.

The Smock is my 3rd spyderco custom by KP and as with the 1st 2 I’m extremely happy with the finished product. The Smock is a pretty nice knife on its own but a little plain for my tastes. KP was able to bring it to the next level with tasteful, perfectly executed low key mods. Outside of a deep carry clip this one is ready for prime time. Also, I want to give KP props for putting a crazy sharp edge on all 3. I’ve had plenty of knives customized by several different shops over the years and KP is the only one that consistently sends them to you super sharp every time without charging you extra. I think that’s stand up and a heck of a nice touch.

This acid-washed heat-treated iteration of the Spyderco Smock is an instant classic. Came from KnivesPlus with perfect centering, solid lockup, smooth action, and of course scary sharp. This knife is just FUN and the blade shape is great, handle ergonomics are good, easy to open and close one handed. Only problem is the abomination of a pocket clip that is so often the case with spyderco, but even there, it looks better with the KnivesPlus treatment (though I did swap it out for a secondary market deep carry). Overall, this Smock feels like a custom and I can’t believe the price. Highly recommended!

Great job, I'm glad Knives Plus took the initiative to do what's right, I don't know if it's just me but the plain jane smok, and I love Spyderco but they don't have any selections for the great ole smok, thanks to Knives Plus they did what I wanted to achieve with the plain jane smok beautifully, saved me the hassle and I'm sure I wouldn't have done a better job, also the blade is very well sharpened scary sharp, now looking at the pics of the smoke work by Knives Plus looks great and in person even better, Thank You and much appreciated

I ordered the Knivesplus custom Spyderco Smock. The inventory was incorrect and they were out of the knife I ordered. Knivesplus took the time to modify a Smock, mailed it promptly, and apologized for the mishap. Extremely impressed with their customer service, and the knife looks awesome.
