The illustrated Ontario Knife is the Ontario Blackbird SK5, a wilderness survival knife designed by Paul Scheiter, that features a 5" spear point fixed blade made of 154CM stainless steel, .13" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60. The blade of this Ontario Knife has a full taper grind for maximum carving efficiency, a flat ground edge that is strong and easy to maintain, and an abrupt spine angle that is suitable for use as a striker for a ferro rod fire starter. The Blackbird SK5 Knife has full tang construction for strength; ergonomic canvas Micarta scales for secure grip, a leveled pommel for light duty hammering and a lanyard slot. A MOLLE compatable nylon sheath is included with this Ontario Knife. The Ontario Blackbird SK5 Knife has an overall length of 10". Proudly made in the USA.
