The QS130-KP2 QSP Penguin is a compact EDC Knives Plus Exclusive that features a 3.06 inch sheepfoot blade made of premium S35VN stainless steel with a satin finish, a notched thumb rest for secure grip, and dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening. The eye catching blue denim micarta handle, 4.00 inches closed, has stainless steel liners for strength, sturdy liner lock, a lanyard hole and a side to side reversible deep carry stainless steel pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The QSP Penguin Knife has an overall open length of 7.06 inches, and it weighs 3.14 ounces. Made in China.

So nice I ordered twice! 11/30/2020

Absolutely love this knife. I bought it because everyone on YouTube was raving about it and $60 for S35VN and Micarta was a win! The action is buttery smooth and the blade was shaving sharp out of the box. It's super comfortable and fits my hand (men's lg glove) perfectly. Liner locks are also one of my favorite lock types since I don't do any heavy cutting that would put enough pressure on the blade to do anything to the lock. And as the title says, it was so nice I ordered twice! I do have one small nitpick and that would be the pocket clip screws. They hang on my jeans and don't let the knife all the way into my pocket without quite a bit of force to get past the two screw heads. Other than that, there isn't anything on this knife I don't like. Hope this helps you decide whether you want one or want to pass for something else!

First the bad, the handle should NOT absorb water or be marked by moisture. If it can absorb moisture, it retain germs. The detent was off on this knife at first, but it’s ok now. Would have been nicer with a flipper instead of just the thumb stud. Even a front flipper would have been nice. Torx 6 screws look whimpy. Metal Complex recommended this knife so I bought it. The good: Great price for CPM S35VN blade; sheepsfoot shape is attractive and handy. Good ergos, light weight, deep pocket clip was well thought out. 7 of 10 for fidget factor. The liner lock is painless and easy to access. Fairly sharp out of the box. Saber grind is high, so it’s slicey. I’ll Scotch guard the handle, but that is a factory Quality Control issue. All in all, It’ll get more pocket time and stay in my edc rotation .

This blue denim micarta is really handsome! I also bought the D2 version which my son now owns. At $30 that knife was a really good one, but $60 for the same quality scales and an excellent blade shape in S35 is truly a must have. Smooth action and very good construction: good slicer: my son won’t be getting this one. The only thing that would make this better is if it was US made, but I can look past that. As always KnivesPlus had a great price, quick shipping, and customer service is unsurpassed. If you don’t have one of these you should.

I have no complaints about this knife. I already had the d2/micarta version but impulse-bought this for the s35vn. Everything feels like a much more expensive knife, but what really blew me away was the feel of the denim micarta. Not only does it look awesome, but it is the nicest handle material I've felt in hand IMHO.

Tldr: awesome knife, feels way more expensive, best handle material I've ever felt

QSP had a tremendous value hit with the Penguin in D2. They upped the ante and have us a steel update, S35VN. Four the value, in my opinion, this knife beats the reigning budget value king the Elementum. You cannot go wrong with this. Denim blue Micarta, S35VN, razor sharp, and a sheepsfoot style blade for utility. Do yourself a favor, get 2, one for you and one to give away, it's that good.
