The QS130-KP3 QSP Penguin is a compact EDC Knives Plus Exclusive that features a 3.06 inch sheepfoot blade made of premium S35VN stainless steel with a satin finish, a notched thumb rest for secure grip, and dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening. The eye catching jade G10 handle, 4.00 inches closed, has stainless steel liners for strength, sturdy liner lock, a lanyard hole and a side to side reversible deep carry stainless steel pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The QSP Penguin Knife has an overall open length of 7.06 inches, and it weighs 3.14 ounces. Made in China.

I'm Fairly new to knives but as a welder i've kind of become a metallurgist nerd. I went down the rabbit hole recently with knives and such and I started kind near the deep end with Spyderco exclusives. This guy despite being only $59.99 as of this time stands up to par with the 3 Spyderco exclusives i've gotten.

This knife was perfectly centered and razor sharp out of the box I was so thoroughly impressed I immediately started using it in my rotation since.
The scales have just enough texture to provide enough grip when your hands are sweaty and are not nearly as aggressive as some other popular edc's like the ritter hogue. it will not chew up your pockets and the clip is very firm and positive.

The detent is also extremly positive and the thumb studs provide ample room to deploy.

I'm hoping next for an exclusive frame lock version in S35 VN next!

purchased two QSP Penguin knives with s35vn upgraded models. Just like the standard d2 version these knives represent incredible quality and value.

The machining, grinds and edges are amazing and the final assembly are simply top notch.

out of the box action and the feel of quality in hand are amazing. The detent is spot on and it eerily bitter smooth.

There are no makers out there who can compete at this price point. Despite the low cost these knives do not feel cheap.

Lastly the Knives Plus is an exceptional store. Sure they don’t carry a wide ranging of brands but the business offers excellent balance of knife parts and modified knives. Anyone all the store is spot on with the shipping options and shipping speed.

Highly recommend the store and QSP Penguins !!

I purchased this knife initially to try out the penguin, and s35vn steel. I've not had either. The knife came sharp, centered, great fit and finish. It was a little stiff out of the box but after a short time was easily able to be flicked. The only con I've found is the thumb studs seem to be sharp on the ends, but nothing a fine file or some sandpaper can't fix. Overall would purchase again without question.

I've been eyeing the penguin for sometime then i saw it was available in S35VN and I pulled the trigger couldn't be happier its light compared to my other knoves it's been holding up pretty well for my everyday task it's not the thinnest blade but it still slices through things I personally like the more rounded spine the pocket clip is pretty taught which keeps it from coming out of the pocket.

I’ve heard great things about the QSP Penguin and when I saw they had an S35VN version I had to get it immediately. Once receiving the knife, I fell in love immediately. The shape of the blade makes it more functional and ideal for every day tasks, size is not intimidating at all (I carry a few L-XL cold steels) and everyone positively comments on the jade G10. Overall, great knife.
