Schrade Knives: Schrade SCHF 36 Frontier Knife, SC-F36

The illustrated Schrade Knife is the Schrade SCHF 36 Frontier Knife that features a 5" drop point fixed blade made of 1095 carbon steel. The blade of this Schrade Knife has a hollow grind and a non reflective black powder coated finish. The SCHF 36 Frontier Knife has full tang construction for strength, textured black TPE scales for secure grip, and a lanyard hole. A black nylon sheath with ferro rod and sharpening stone is included with this Schrade Knife. The Schrade SCHF 36 Frontier Knife has an overall length of 10.4", and it weighs 12.3 ounces. Made in China.

Well i put it to the test. chopped ok but either the edge got chipped a hair on one side. can be ground out when sharpening. don't think i hit a nail or piece of metal in the wood....can't say for sure though. Like the 1095 carbon and powder coat doesn't bother me. The jimping did hurt a little without gloves. All in all i'm happy with the knife, outrageous price. extras in nice sheath (fire-stick and sharpener).

this is a good knife but depending where you get it from it could be a second like a misgrind. like 3/8 short on the blade.you just never know.when it says 10.41 overall length thats what i expect.
