The C148PBK Spyderco Ambitious Lightweight - a welcome addition to the Spyderco Value Folder lineup, features a 2.43 inch drop point blade made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, .118 inches thick, with a full flat grind, notched thumb ramp, and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The black FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) handle, 3.58 inches closed, has ergonomic contouring and Bi-Directional Texturing for secure grip, skeletonized steel liners for strength, sturdy liner lock, a lanyard hole, and a 4 position steel pocket clip. The Spyderco Ambitious Lightweight Knife has an overall open length of 5.87 inches and it weighs 2.8 ounces. Made in China.
From the Spyderco 2022 Reveal 10 Product Guide: Following in the footsteps of its bigger brothers in Spyderco's Value Folder series, the ultra-compact Ambitious is now available in a lightweight version. It trades the original G-10 scales for injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN), trimming its weight by almost seven percent and offering the added grip security of our signature Bi-Directional Texturing pattern. All other features are consistent with the established version of this model, including a full-flat-ground 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade, skeletonized full stainless steel liners, a sturdy LinerLock mechanism, and a fully configurable four-position pocket clip. The Ambitious Lightweight is also available in a choice of PlainEdge and SpyderEdge configurations.
