Over the years, this design has been produced in various forms and sizes and remains a favorite among dedicated Spyderco fans. The latest version of this enduring design is a Goddard Lightweight with olive drab handles. The signature shape of its injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle provides a reliable integral guard, a thin, flat cross section, and a Volcano Grip™ texture for a secure grip. Designed for ambidextrous tip-up carry, the Goddard Lightweight features a reversible hourglass clip secured with a barrel bolt fixture that serves double duty as a lanyard hole.
The business end of this unique knife consists of a plain-edged VG-10 stainless steel blade with a full flat grind for superior edge geometry. Its clip-point profile provides an acute point for detail work and plenty of belly for slicing. The blade is joined to the handle by a high-strength back lock mechanism with a forward-positioned release for easy operation.
The Olive Drab Goddard Lightweight is a Sprint Run and is available only in limited quantities.
