This Spyderco Para 3 Knife features a 2.95" modified clip point blade made of Carpenter Technology Corporation's Micro-Melt Maxamet, .145" thick, with a notched choil and thumb ramp for secure grip, and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The contoured, textured dark gray G10 handle, 4.29" closed, comes with a nested Compression Lock, a lined lanyard hole, and a side to side and end to end reversible steel pocket clip. The Spyderco Para Military 3 Knife has an overall open length of 7.24", and it weighs 3.4 ounces. Made in the USA.

Really Like It!01/03/2020 ByJames Reizner I love this knife! Folded - I like what it looks like. The dark gray is perfect for me. The texture of the G10 is great - nice and grippy.
The blade on mine is perfectly centered. It opens easily with the finger hole, or can be flipped open if the lock on the back is pushed. Can be closed by holding down the lock on the back and letting the blade drop by itself. All one-handed action.
The sound of the blade locking in place is a nice, crisp snap.
Then there is the blade itself - Maximet, I need say no more. If you are purchasing this knife you already know all about Maxamet.
The blade came nice and sharp from the factory. Not a mirror finish, but that is not what I would want on a Maxemet EDC blade.
I will be oiling the blade with EEZOX.
The only thing I did not care about was the pocket carry clip. The way it is designed it protrudes way out of the pocket. I replaced it with a MXG Gear Deep Carry Titanium pocket clip, which I am very happy with.
love it07/05/2019 Byu.w. Ordered & received the Para 3 w/ Maxamet steel. Was super happy to see it available again! Thank you Spyderco & Knives Plus! Shipping was quick and free - Awesome! The knife. Super handy size, kind of a "goldilocks" of knives - it's just enough of everything for me, showed up perfect - drop shut blade, no lock stick, perfectly centered, and nice'n sharp... and the steel... Oh wow! Maxamet! I been carrying it for over two weeks, sharpened it once, and gotta say - it lives up to the hype. I am impressed and like it very much. I would buy it again, and do recommend it.

The Para 3 is a great knife. Solid design and well thought out. So why not buy it with the steel that has crazy edge retention. It got used all holiday season and it still shaves. I am not looking forward to sharpening it but I can't wait for the performance increase of a mirror edge.
You won't be disappointed with this knife. The only con is the lack of a factory deep carry pocket clip. Seriously Spyderco I'm blowing $200+ on a knife at least give me the option!

Phenomenal knife04/11/2018 ByS Already a fan of the para 3, this model is by far my favorite. Amazing steel that is almost impossible to find anywhere else. The color of the g10 is also very cool. Even the fit, finish, and action of this one all seem to be even better than my other para’s. If I get the opportunity to pick up another, I will without hesitation. Shipping and customer service from KP was outstanding!
