Bronze Heat Colored Hardware Add-On - The knife is disassembled and a small amount of heat is applied to the hardware to change it to a bronze color. This includes any screws, spacers, lanyard tubes, or clips that are satin. Acid stonewashed clips will not be heat colored.

The MODIFIED C28FPWCBK2 Spyderco Dragonfly 2 REGOUND Wharncliffe Knife is a compact EDC that features a 2.28 inch REGROUND ACID STONEWASHED Wharncliffe blade made of VG-10 stainless steel, .098 inch thick, with a full flat grind, a notched choil and thumb ramp for secure grip, and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The ergonomic black FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) handle, 3.33 inches closed, has Bi-Directional Texturing for secure purchase, sturdy lockback, a lanyard hole, and a side to side reversible deep carry wire clip mounted at the butt end. The MODIFIED Spyderco Dragonfly 2 REGROUND Wharncliffe Knife has an overall open length of 5.58 inches and it weighs 1.2 ounces. Made in Japan.

I’ve been EDCing this knife (not my first dragonfly) for a couple of weeks. I knew I’d like the straight wharncliffe edge, and the razor sharpening KP puts on this thing is better than I imagined. It’s a scalpel. I liked the look of the reground blade compared to the traditional curve of the wharncliffe, but didn’t appreciate how comfortable it is to choke up on the back of the blade with your thumb to do fine work. That first ramp down gives you such control. Love this thing. Nothing bad I could think to say. I’m fixing to buy another one just in case I lose or damage this blade while it’s in my EDC rotation. I’d hate to go without this little gem in the event KP turns it into a limited edition and stops making the option! Thanks to KP for a quality redesign of an already perfect spydie.

Knives Plus did a perfect job with both the regrind and acid wash. It looks and feels like Spyderco ground it this way themselves. They also made it stupid sharp to finish. Careful! I totally nicked myself within a few minutes of fidgeting with it which was my fault of course.
