This CX08GGYP Spyderco Baby Horn Sprint Run is a discontinued item with serial number; BNIB, made in Japan in 2017. The CX08GGYP Spyderco Baby Jess Horn Knife, a replication of a design by the late Jess Horn, features a 2.60 inch blade made of VG10 stainless steel, .091 inch thick, with a flat grind and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The dark gray G10 handle, 3.40 inches closed, has a lockback, lanyard hole, and a removable steel pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The Spyderco Baby Jess Horn Knife with dark gray G10 handle has an overall open length of 6.00 inches, and it weighs 2.1 ounces. Limited quantities, made in Japan.
From the Spyderco website: The late Jess Horn was a true pioneer of modern custom knifemaking. His meticulously crafted gentleman's folders were also directly responsible for inspiring Spyderco's founders to enter the knife business. Although Spyderco produced several Jess Horn collaborative designs over the years, none were more prized than the "Baby Horns" made exclusively for A.G. Russell in the late 1990's. This limited edition Sprint Run replicates that rare model, but with a full-flat-ground VG-10 stainless steel blade, dark gray textured G-10 scales, and a classic straight stainless pocket clip that provides right-side tip-up carry.
