The C41GPBORE5 Spyderco Native 5 Knife is a limited Sprint Run edition that features a blade made of REX 45 tool steel. Sure to be a hit with users and collectors alike, this Native 5 REX 45 has a 2.95 inch drop point blade made of the aforementioned REX 45 steel, .125 inches thick, with a satin finish, full flat grind and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The ergonomic burnt orange G10 handle, 4.00 inches closed, has a sturdy lockback, a lanyard hole and a 4 position stainless steel pocket clip. The Spyderco Native 5 REX 45 has an overall open length of 6.95 inches and it weighs 3.0 ounces. Limited quantities; made in the USA in Golden, Colorado.
From the Spyderco 2020 Reveal Product Guide: Crucible® CPM® REX® 45 is a super-high-speed particle metallurgy tool steel enriched with large volumes of cobalt, tungsten, molybdenum, and vanadium. Its high cobalt content increases the steel's attainable hardness and enhances the positive properties of the steel's other alloys. The addition of vanadium promotes the formation of vanadium carbides, which provide high wear resistance, fine grain size and increased toughness.
