This MODIFIED Spyderco Native 5 Salt Knife features a 2.95" leaf shaped blade made of rust proof MagnaCut steel, .125" thick, with a notched choil and thumb rest for secure grip, and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The high viz yellow FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) handle HAS BEEN DYED RED, 4.00" closed, has Bi-Directional Texturing for secure purchase, ergonomic contours for comfort, a sturdy lockback, a lanyard hole and a four position metal pocket clip. The MODIFIED Spyderco Native 5 Salt Knife has an overall open length of 6.95" and it weighs 2.5 ounces. Made in the USA.

Nice way to personalize your carry. 04/14/2021

I already had an original Native. I love that knife but as with many Spyderco knives, I wanted a deeper carry clip, and I was also looking for the Salt. I registered to be notified when one of the dyed models came in and purchased this one when it became available.

The dye job is well done, there is no bleeding and the color is consistent, the blade was sharpened and the reassembly was excellent quality. I will definitely consider other customized knives from Knives Plus.

I did have to purchase a deep carry clip from another maker so it would be nice if Knives Plus would carry those in its inventory as well.

I wasn't sure first having the FRN dyed Red, but for sure I wanted a Native 5 Salt Magnacut. When I received it, I was very satisfied how it was. The Red and black combo in the handles worked very well. The knife opened and closed smoothly. The blade was a bit off-centered but not by far. It's been 2 weeks since I got it and it has been my EDC everyday.

I received my "Red Dragon," and it is excellent. The dye job is perfect. I love the color red, and sadly, it is tough to find high end knives in red. This coupled with a CPM Magnacut blade, and I felt like I found a hidden gem with this knife. The Native 5 Salt is a simple but great knife before any modifications, but the red dye takes it over the top. Thanks!

I really wanted to try Magnacut and I really like Spyderco, so this was an easy choice. Knives Plus does a great job dying the handle and I could not be happier with the product. I would never have attempted this on my own and why would you, when Knives Plus does such a great job. Thanks guys!

Perfect summer knife 07/22/2020

I’m not a fisherman; however I spend a ton of time in and out of water. I wanted a lightweight blade that I didn’t ever have to worry about rusting. This beauty fits the bill to a tee. Ergos are fantastic and the red mod just makes this thing perfect.
