Spyderco Knives: Spyderco Respect Knife, SP-FB44GP
The Spyderco Respect Knife, designed by Sal Glesser, is a fixed blade knife that harkens back to the old style American bowie knives - with high tech steel and modern finish. The Respect has a 7.94" beefy clip point blade made of CPM 154 stainless steel, .30" thick, with a satin finish, a swedged tip, and a pronounced choil. The Respect has hidden tang construction; ergonomic black G10 handle with stainless steel cross guard for secure grip, and a curved pommel with lanyard hole. A genuine leather belt sheath with retaining strap and traditional frog stud is included. The Spyderco Respect Knife has an overall length of 13.15", and it weighs 12.5 ounces (15.9 ounces with the sheath). Made in the USA.
From the Spyderco 2018 Product Guide: Designed by Spyderco founder Sal Glesser, this formidable knife represents his personal interpretation of the classic American Bowie Knife. Its clip point blade is made from 0.3" thick CPM-154 stainless steel and has a broad profile for exceptional edge geometry. The blade is full-flat ground, distally tapered, and features a finger choil in front of the stainless steel double guard to provide "old-school" Bowie tactics. To ensure control and leverage, the Respect has a refined, contoured handle shape with a pinky hook. The two-piece handle is machined from solid G10 slabs and seamlessly attached to the concealed tang with oversized Torx screws. A knife truly worthy of its name, the Respect comes complete with a handcrafted leather sheath with a belt loop, brass "frog" stud, and retaining strap.
