The C229GPBORE Spyderco Shaman Knife is a limited Sprint Run edition that features a blade made of REX 45 tool steel. Sure to be a hit with users and collectors alike, this Shaman REX 45 has a 3.58 inch drop point blade made of the aforementioned REX 45 steel, .145 inches thick, with a satin finish, full flat grind, notched choil and thumb ramp for secure grip, and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The ergonomic burnt orange G10 handle, 4.67 inches closed, has chamfered edges for comfort, skeletonized stainless steel liners, sturdy Compression Lock, lanyard hole, and a 4 position steel pocket clip. The Spyderco Shaman REX 45 has an overall open length of 8.25 inches and it weighs 5.2 ounces. Limited quantities; made in the USA in Golden, Colorado.

Its high cobalt content increases the steel's attainable hardness and enhances the positive properties of the steel's other alloys. The addition of vanadium promotes the formation of vanadium carbides, which provide high wear resistance, fine grain size and increased toughness.
