The illustrated Spyderco Knife is the Spyderco Dragonfly2 Salt Knife that features a 2.25" leaf blade made of H-1 steel. The blade of this Spyderco knife has a notched thumb ramp and choil and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The Marine Yellow FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) handle, 3.33" closed, has Bi-Directional Texturing™ for secure grip, a Boye Dent lockback and a lanyard hole. A side to side reversible wire pocket clip is mounted at the butt end of this Spyderco Knife. The Spyderco Dragonfly2 Salt Knife with plain edge blade has an overall length of 5.58" and it weighs 1.2 ounces.
The Spyderco Salt Knives have blades made out of a PH (precipitation hardened) steel that doesn't rust. H1 steel is naturally hard, and it will hold a sharpened cutting edge equivalent to many carbon steels. H1 has 1 percent nitrogen instead of carbon, so it cannot rust.
