Spyderco Knives: Spyderco Mike Draper Folder, SP-C171TIBLP
The illustrated Spyderco Knife is the Spyderco Mike Draper Folder, designed by Wyoming knifemaker Mike Draper, that features a 3.7" modified drop point blade made of VG10 stainless steel, .118" thick. The blade of this Spyderco knife has a flat grind and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The machined titanium handle, 5.28" closed, has a swirled textured blue anodized web design, Walker LinerLock and a lanyard hole. A removable stainless steel pocket clip is mounted at the butt end of this Spyderco Knife. The Spyderco Mike Draper Folder has an overall open length of 8.95" and it weighs 4.7 ounces. Made in Japan.
From the Spyderco website: ... The Mike Draper Folder's eye-catching handle is constructed with two solid titanium scales that are intricately CNC machined to produce a stunning spider web pattern and a subtle surface texture. Portions of the pattern are then colorized to contrast boldly against the matte-finished titanium to further highlight the design. The handle flares at both ends to create a highly functional integral guard and a butt hook and includes a solid, full-length back spacer for additional strength. A custom pocket clip follows the flow of the handle contour and design to provide immediate access via right-side, tip-up carry.
